For generations, the people of the Eastern Cape in South Africa have relied on the ocean’s bounty, but small-scale fishermen often struggled to get fair prices for their catch. iThemba, meaning “hope”, was born from a vision to unite independent fishers, ensuring they benefit from their hard work by selling their Cape Hope Squid directly to international markets.
